The Negeri Sembilan Skills Development Centre (NSSDC) is a joint project initiated by the state government and a group of manufacturing industries in Negeri Sembilan. The main aim was to provide a total learning solution for the industries and acts as a platform to facilitate the promotion of technical skills and Management skills for occupational competence.

The Negeri Sembilan Skills Development Centre (NSSDC) is a joint project initiated by the State Government and a group of private industries in Negeri Sembilan. The main aim is to provide a total learning solution for the industries and acts as a platform to facilitate the promotion of Technical
skill and Management skills for occupational competence.

 

The Skills Centre was officially opened by the Chief Minister of Negeri Sembilan on 19th August 1993. The Chief Minister is also act as our Honourable Patron while the State Secretary of Negeri Sembilan is our Advisor.

 

The Centre has been approved by HRDF under the Ministry of Human Resources as an Approved Training Provider since 15 th October 1994. It have also received accreditation from the Majlis Latihan Vokasional Kebangsaaan (MLVK) or Malaysian National Vocational to run vocational/MLVK courses. Since we started our operation 10 years ago, we have trained and educated over 1000 trainees or students in various areas in Management, Technical Skill etc.


Started as a center with only 6 training rooms, labs and a few training lecturers and staffs, we have now moves to a bigger building in
Mantin since October 2002. The new building has over 15 training rooms and labs such as the Automation Lab, Electronics Lab and Computers
etc and a recreational center. The RM5 million building was provided by the State Government and are well equipped with various training
equipments and facilities to cater the ever-changing need of the industries throughout the state. The Skill Centre uses a combination of
classroom lecturers and actual practical work to ensure quality training. The Centre is equipped to run separate programs daily and can
accommodate at least 500 students at one time. By the year 2004 we will have a workshops, more training rooms and labs.

 

Throughout the year, NSSDC have received various fund and financial assistance from various government and its agencies such as
SMIDEC, HRDC, Ministry of Youth and Sport, Ministry of Women Development etc. to train workers, school leavers and other group of
people in various fields.

     

Memberships to the Skills Centre are opened to all industries in Negeri Sembilan and as members enjoy rebates and discounts.

 

Besides Public programs, the Skill Centre also conducts in-house program to suit individual organization. Part-time courses and weekend
programs are also being conducted regularly. The Center also provides rental facilities of rooms and audiovisuals at very attractive rental rates.
